AR Animated Album - 'thiscover'
It's an on going art collaboration where music loving designers pick and animate an album cover of their choice - the animations are then brought to life through ARIA The AR Platform app by simply framing the album artwork.
I chose an album that’s been in my heavy rotation since its release, the epic ‘Them Crooked Vultures’ ( 2009 ) by supergroup Them Crooked Vultures - Dave Grohl, Joshua Homme and John Paul Jones.

For my animation I envisioned a cauldron - each of the band members adds their own touch/powder to a magic potion. After being stirred, the potion comes alive and an egg is formed.
