THE CATACOMBS TOUR
Queens of the Stone Age toured new hauntingly beautiful arrangements of their discography in special one-night-only shows, culminating at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2025.
I created 3 personal projects to mark the event - an animated promo and two poster designs.
1. Animated Promo
The idea for this promo came to me while looking at a small snake toy - I realised the shape of the snake reminded me of the bends in the Thames.
I envisioned a map of London, rain and lightning - an eerie and dark atmosphere. The snake - symbolising the band - entering the city.

Playing in the background a string section from the end of "Domesticated Animals".
The snake is animated frame by frame and I created the scale texture directly in Photoshop by layering multiple gallery effects.
I then composited everything in After Effects.

2. Night Tube Map Design
London has been my home since 2016 and I wanted to celebrate both Queens and this amazing city with some original artwork.
So what better than the London Underground and its recognisable tube map to pay homage to such an iconic event.
Similarly to the Paris Catacombs, the London tube consists of an immense intricate system of tunnels connecting the city beneath the ground.
Here, each line represents an album and each stop a track.
I made 3 versions of the skull, finally landing on the side profile.
I tweaked the final design and changed it to a 'night tube' colour way.
I then shared my artwork with Queens fans and decided to turn it into a limited print run.
A2 Giclée prints on lightweight rag paper, 210gsm.
Signed and numbered by hand.
Printed in Notting Hill, at Blaze Image.

Poster 2. Crown Design
I leaned into the crown symbol for this poster design - embracing both the 'Queen' theme and the shape of the Royal Albert Hall.
